The Experience

At Malinche Spanish School, we believe you shouldn’t just learn Spanish; you should live it. This 7-night experience is designed to make you the protagonist of your own journey in the heart of the misty mountains.

Forget being a tourist. In Orizaba, you become part of the rhythm of daily life. Our program combines academic rigor with genuine human connection, ensuring you gain functional Spanish skills in a safe, curated, and inspiring environment.

The “Inside-Outside” Structure

Our methodology bridges the gap between the classroom and the real world.
Total Instruction: 22 Hours

• THE INSIDE (18 Hours): Intensive onsite sessions at our downtown campus. Small groups focus on grammar structures, linguistic confidence, and cultural context.

• THE OUTSIDE (4 Hours): Guided methodological activities where the city becomes your textbook. You will step out to practice what you learned in real scenarios.

The 4 Offsite Methodological Pillars

Practical application of the “Inside-Outside” method (1 hour each):

1. Café Cultura (Conversational Circle)

• Objective: Fluency & Connection.

• Break the ice in a relaxed setting. We gather for a guided conversation circle to discuss local legends and slang over a cup of high-altitude coffee.

2. Active Immersion: Bici or Walking Tour

• Objective: Vocabulary in Motion.

• Traverse the historic Paseo del Río or the colonial center. You will learn to navigate directions and architectural terms while exploring the “Pueblo Mágico.”

3. Market Day Experience

• Objective: Negotiation & Cultural Literacy.

• Step into the Mercado Melchor Ocampo. You will receive a mission, a budget, and a shopping list. Your goal: interact with vendors, discover seasonal ingredients, and bring back supplies for the group.

4. Creative Expression Workshop

• Objective: Sensory Description.

• Choose your path: Mexican Cooking (Prepare Chileatole or Picaditas) OR Art Appreciation (Museum tour + painting workshop). Learn to describe tastes, colors, and emotions in Spanish.
